What Is The Lymphatic System & Lymphatic Drainage

The Lymphatic System is our innate healing system whose primary focus is to purify and keep the body in balance.

Lymphatic System

Think of your Lymphatic System as your body’s own fish tank. When the filter is not functioning efficiently we begin to see the yucky growth in the tank. It suffocates the fish and comparably, our cells.

The Lymphatic System is a huge part of our immune system working around the clock to maintain balance and wellness within the body by collecting fluid from our tissues and filtering harmful impurities. â€‹

A blockage in the flow causes our tissues to sit in toxins unable to receive proper oxygen and nutrients, resulting in various ailments ranging from skin conditions and brain fog to lethargy, digestive issues and depression and can also lead to autoimmune disease and cancer.

When loved on and functioning properly the Lymphatic System aids in cellular repair, boosting the healing process and sustaining our health and vitality.

Lymphatic Drainage

The Lymphatic System does not have an internal pump like the heart to keep things flowing.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a hands-on form of bodywork with methods that stimulate chokepoints and clear pathways for toxins to release into the lymphatic system and into the bloodstream. It’s a highly relaxing method that helps to relieve water retention and leaves one feeling grounded and rejuvenated.

At the Aquarium

Imagine your body as a fish tank where all your cells are the little fish swimming inside. The Lymphatic System is the filtering system that keeps that fluid flowing to create a healthy environment for our cells (and therefore our bodies) to thrive.

My Approach

My approach is inspired by a Brazilian technique which gets a little deeper into the fascia (where we carry inflammation and cellulite) and various modalities from the Reynolds Technique and Usui reiki as I continue to immerse myself in the intricacies of the energy body and its effects on our mental and physical health. What I bring to the table is constantly being refined as new developments continue to unfold around the Lymphatic System. As a human being on my own spiritual journey, I myself am constantly developing and growing and am determined to share what I learn along the way in hopes of inspiring a deeper sense of connection to oneself and a fresh new way to look at one’s own body.
